Privacy Policy

Every converter, compressor, and editor runs in your web browser using JavaScript, Canvas, and Web Workers. When you convert a HEIC photo or resize a PNG, the file bytes never travel to ImageConverter or any backend we operate.

Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run a conversion — you will see no requests carrying your image data. That is by design, not an accident.

• Image or document files you select for conversion, compression, or editing
• Filenames, EXIF metadata, or contents of those files
• Account credentials — no registration is required
• Payment information — the service is free

Like most websites, our hosting and analytics providers (if enabled) may log standard technical visit data when you load a page:

• IP address (often truncated or anonymized)
• Browser, device, and operating system
• Pages viewed, referrer URL, and approximate region
• Date, time, and basic performance metrics

This data helps us keep the site online, detect abuse, and understand which tools are used. It is not linked to your image files because those files never leave your browser.

We may use essential cookies or local storage for preferences and basic functionality. Third-party analytics, if enabled, may set their own cookies under their policies.

Blocking cookies may disable non-essential features but will not stop local image processing — that always runs on your device.

We use services for hosting, CDN delivery, and optional analytics or error monitoring. These process page-load and visit metadata only — not your image files. Fonts or scripts loaded from third parties are governed by their respective privacy policies.

ImageConverter is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has contacted us with personal data, please reach out and we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data we hold — such as analytics records or email correspondence. Because we do not process your images on our servers, requests about image content generally do not apply; your files remain on your device.

We may revise this policy occasionally. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
