How is the dominant palette generated?
The image is quantized in your browser to find its 8 most representative colors — the same technique used by GIF encoders.
Can I pick a color from anywhere on my screen?
In Chrome and Edge you can use the system eyedropper button to sample any pixel on screen. Other browsers support picking from the loaded image.
Which image formats are supported?
